Program Assistant. Deadline: September 09, 2018

Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF), registered as a non-governmental organization, is a recognized leader in the field of grants management and program administration in Azerbaijan. Its mission is to empower people to effect change for social justice and economic prosperity through hands-on programs, helping them to improve their communities and their own lives. Caucasus Research Resource Center is a program of EPF focused on conducting and analyzing social and economic research in the South Caucasus, and supporting research community in Azerbaijan.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of tasks and able to work independently to support an executive team in program management, monitoring, documentation, and administrative issues.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordination of program planning and preparation;
  • Monitor status of program performance metrics and milestones;
  • Take necessary action to ensure project documents are completed and submitted to relevant parties for approval;
  • Research for relevant background documents and references to identify issues requiring managers’ attention;
  • Assist in organizing  events, conferences, and workshops;
  • Assist in producing program materials and reports highlighting program activities, and develop other outreach materials;
  • Manage social media presence on  EPF/CRRC pages on Facebook, Twitter, etc.;
  • Assist with the translation of internal and external documents from/to English and Azerbaijani;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in social sciences in particular international relations, political science, sociology and public policy preferred;
  • Minimum 1-2  years relevant professional experience in project implementation;
  • SMM skill is an asset;
  • Experience working with civil society organizations and international institutions is an advantage;
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate critical thinking;
  • Must be creative, detail-oriented, resourceful, and self-motivated;
  • Ability to maintain a calm and professional attitude under pressure;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while quickly producing high-quality work is essential;
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in Azerbaijani and English is required (Russian is an asset);
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Program Development Manager. Deadline: July 22, 2018

Its mission is to empower people to effect change for social justice and economic prosperity through hands-on programs, helping them to improve their communities and their own lives.

Caucasus Research Resource Center (CRRC) is a program of EPF focused on conducting and analyzing social and economic research in the South Caucasus and supporting research community in Azerbaijan.

The Program Development Manager will be responsible to pursue opportunities that will lead coordination and management of proposal development to increase EPF portfolio of projects and its revenue streams. The Program Development Manager will design new programs to produce competitive proposals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design highly competitive concept notes and proposals
• Collaborate across different programs at EPF/CRRC to coordinate the process of proposal planning activities until its submission
• Develop fundraising strategy
• Anticipate upcoming calls
• Participate in organizational representation for EPF by attending and contributing to donors and partners meetings and other outreach efforts
• Lead proposal design meetings as needed and provide leadership on impact pathway and logical framework development
• Expand an extensive network of contacts within relevant donor agencies, other development implementation organizations, academic and research institutions.

Requirements:

An ideal candidate has to have a proven track record of competitive proposal submission and excellent writing skills. This position requires the following:
• Advanced University Degree (Master’s or equivalent) in social science or related fields
• Minimum 2 years of experience in proposal development and submission
• Experience in developing logframes and budget documents
• Project managements skills are strongly preferred
• Ability to perform under time pressure, be flexible, work independently, manage multiple tasks and work effectively as a team member in the fast-paced environment
• Native English speaker with Azerbaijani and Russian fluency strongly preferred.

Job description: Communication and Outreach Assistant will play a key role in EPF/CRRC communication efforts to raise the visibility of the organization through promoting EPF/CRRC brand.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop EPF/CRRC communication and outreach plan together with the executive management;

Prepare and disseminate press releases, success stories, newsletters, and other outreach materials for EPF/CRRC;

Manage EPF/CRRC social media presence through Facebook, Twitter, Flicker, etc.;

Develop and manage the content of EPF and CRRC websites in English and Azerbaijani;

Develop new internal/external communication and knowledge dissemination activities;

Plan and implement information campaigns to promote the work of EPF/CRRC;

Build good relations with local journalists and mass media outlets;

Assist with translation of internal and external documents from/to English and Azerbaijani;

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in communications or relevant field required;

Minimum three years relevant professional experience in communications, including developing and implementing project-specific communications strategies;

Proficiency in promoting a brand on social media outlets;

Experienced in communicating with media representatives;

Must be creative, detail-oriented, resourceful, and self-motivated;

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while quickly producing high-quality work is essential;

Excellent writing and editing skills in Azerbaijani and English is required;

Proficiency in MS Office applications;

Proficiency in WordPress is desirable.

Eurasia Partnership Foundation is looking for a Finance and Office Assistant to perform specific financial and administrative functions including standard clerical activities under the supervision of Finance Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Keep track of the office equipment and stationary as well as supervise ordering and purchase of office supplies as needed;

Arrange for the proper maintenance of the office equipment;

Arrange accommodations, visas, tickets for the foreign experts and staff;

Assist in administration of timely and proper renewal and amendment of service contracts with suppliers/service providers;

Coordinate short-term contractors hiring and maintain related files;

Organize logistics of conferences, seminars, training, and meetings to be held by arranging transportation, accommodations, and any technical support needed;

Serve as an office cashier and produce a monthly petty cash report, control all financial operations, code expenses and assist in checking financial reports;

Assist in monitoring budget requirements by consolidating and verifying information from various sources;

Maintain appropriate administrative and financial controls related to the assigned tasks and assists in preparation of monthly financial statements;

Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

 

Relevant Experience & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in the related field;

Minimum three years of relevant professional experience as a financial assistant, a receptionist or an administrative assistant;

Good computer skills with sound knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and etc.);

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Azerbaijani;

Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work.
