EPF/CRRC Azerbaijan and ICMPD invite you to a 2-days workshop within the framework of the EU-funded MOBILAZE project.

25 selected participants will attend a workshop on Dec 10-11 in Baku. The participants will delve into basic techniques of data analysis and will explore methods of communicating complex information with visually appealing charts and graphs. This workshop will be ideal for junior researchers, who would like to enhance their research projects.

Interested candidates are required to submit their online application form by Dec 3, 2018. The selected candidates will need to attend both Dec 10 and 11 and bring their laptops to the sessions for the practical exercises. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.


Roland Hosner, a research officer, holds an MA (Mag.) in Sociology from the University of Vienna. Currently, Roland is involved in research components of the ongoing project on sustaining migration management in Georgia (ENIGMMA 2). He has recently completed a feasibility study with the aim of establishing a panel survey among recent immigrants to Austria (LEGINT) and serves as a focal point for survey design as well as migration and integration statistics at ICMPD.

Paul Baumgartner is Policy Analyst in the ICMPD Policy Unit. With an economist background, he has acquired sound knowledge and experience in the field of migration research. His recent research is focused on asylum responsibility-sharing among EU Member States, analysis of asylum statistics and labor market integration of refugees. His academic interests involve asylum policies and quantitative methods.
